My thoughts on the former parliament video

I bet many of you have watched the video scam that went viral on YouTube this week, click here to watch it if you haven't.

I actually found it rather funny. They're normal people just like the rest of us, and to be honest as a musician I can actually easily relate to them even though I know absolutely nothing about politics and I actually couldn't care less for politics to begin with.

An orchestra as many of you know is a group of performers playing various musical instruments including especially stringed instruments, wood winds, brass, and percussion for playing music as operas, symphonies, popular music and other compositions.

The orchestra is conducted by a conductor or a maestro that has the ultimate authority in such an ensemble, his gestures, orders and body language give the composition it's figure and it's interpretation, in other words his leadership and the musicians abidance to his remarks makes a performance successful or an absolute mess.

Enough with introduction to music 101 and I'll let you know how I see it, why it all makes sense, the parliament is the orchestra, orchestra is made of string players, oboists, flautist, horn players and so is the parliament, we have doctors, lawyers, engineers ...etc the parliament is also lead by the "maestro".

You see musicians do the same, after any orchestra performance we face the audience, some of which think we did a great job, ones who think our interpretation (which is actually not ours but the maestro's) was awful and others who know nothing about the whole performance, these are the audience and when it comes to politics you can call them the people. Afterwards as musicians we congratulate each other for this great out come and congratulate the maestro for his leadership and taste which you can call in politics ass kissing (being a yes-man or a yes-person) after all that ass kissing we gather in groups to chill. Lets see, whom will I go out with after the performance?  Definitely not my friends, for sure the most popular who is so good at his/her instrument. suddenly we're the powerful ones, we have a drink or two regardless of our religious orientation, loosen up a bit and then gossip about everything and critisis everyone, without taking into consideration that we too were performers (parliamentarians) at that crapy concert (parliament session), that we too are to blame for the hideous interpretation of Beethoven's 9th and we were the ones that followed the maestro (The MAESTRO) to the smallest detail without saying no because we were taught that in  orchestra etiquette we should NEVER TALK BACK OR ARGUE WITH THE MAESTRO EVEN IF HE'S WRONG AND WE'RE RIGHT. And the end of the night we usually notice a fellow musician sitting there listening without participating and all of a sudden the next day everybody knows about everything because news travel fast.

So the parliament was dissolved and so was the Amman symphony orchestra and the maestro still stands tall, head high waiting for the next orchestra order to lead, hoping to actually establish something this time, but he did not take into consideration that his next orchestra will have the same performers because that's what's there!
Call is funny call is sarcasm heck call it irony of what ever you want.

Bottom line:

Parliament and orchestras .. same same
